Original record and sources
A decision becomes a wall across the water.
The eastern canal contains a movable barrier with guide rails, hydraulic hardware and a maintenance berth. Its open and closed states are built into the model.
The gate turns a decision about the city into a physical boundary. Its maintenance berth connects the machinery above the water to the drone working below it.

- This record describes documented model geometry or supplied story context; it is not evidence of a real city or tested engineering performance. Production context: The physical gate is related to the story’s questions of authorization and local stop authority. It is not automatically the later treatment’s Gate 17, and the geometry is not a certified hydraulic design.
