# G05 opening bridge — reviewed prototype, repairs required

The double-leaf mechanism is implemented in [the prototype native](../../sf2047_v52_operations_r15_g05_mechanical_prototype02.blend). It is **not accepted or promoted**. The checked G03 candidate remains `sf2047_v52_operations_r15_g03_draft01.blend` with its existing 110/110 access result and 25/30 local lanes; the prototype's open-pose result must not be aggregated into accepted whole-world transit.

## Latest component survey

The read-only [evaluated component survey](r15-g05-bank-survey03.json) completed against the unchanged checked G03 native. Pier70 has a parent transform, which the survey evaluates. Two pairs of nearby bank components occupy X=-615.5 to -596.5 and X=-593.5 to -574.5, with Y ranges ending at -408 or starting at -404 and Z=8.5 to 9.7. Their bounds overlap portions of the original closed west deck footprint, so the problem cannot be reduced to hinge back-sweep alone. Component bounds are diagnostic, not exact contact proof. Inspect these retained component vertices before designing a localized recess or changing the bridge footprint.

The service crossing has two columns at approximately X=-560.53 and -558.29, Y=-405.41, spanning Z=5.4 to 15.82, plus the elevated deck and guards. Both crossing levels need a coherent redesign.

Eleven superseded V52 R1-R11 native snapshots were removed under the user's cleanup authorization, reclaiming 2,853,121,478 bytes. [Paths and hashes](r15-obsolete-native-cleanup03.json) are retained. R12 onward, V51 promotion, deliveries and the linked V43 architecture remain. Historical workflows that open deleted snapshots require restoration; current native geometry was not changed by this survey.

## Results

- All five G05 local lanes clear with the bridge at 85 degrees. Ferry, dining barge, HD ferry and taxi use offset 0 m; workboat uses -33 m. Turns and complete voyages remain unverified.
- 17/34 conservative continuous deck-and-rail sweep intervals clear: all east intervals clear; all west intervals report Pier70 geometry interference. These envelopes cover motion between samples and may conservatively overestimate contact.
- Closed deck centreline: 752 samples, 19 circulation faults, all attributed to `V52_R14_SERVICE_PROTOTYPE_SYS-TIDAL-G05-PIER70-R_SUPPORT`. This does not pass required 1.2 m access.
- Five pure controller tests pass. Both pedestrian and vessel permissions require validation; occupancy or lost isolation holds the actual angle, and updates cannot jump to the requested angle.
- [Closed review](r15-g05-fitted-review-0001.png) and [open review](r15-g05-fitted-review-0002.png) inspected. Both are isolated engineering views with disposable colors; no city-context clearance is inferred.

## Next repairs, in order

1. Rework the west bank hinge interface. The first retained witness is `DRONE_BATCH_loc_pier70_district_` against west deck strip 0 near X=-600 m. The opening envelope extends behind the current hinge into the bank. Inspect the actual connected bank component before choosing a hinge offset, elevated outboard trunnions, or a localized machinery recess. Do not exclude the whole Pier70 batch from collision tests.
2. Resolve the service-bridge crossing. Walking faults lie near X=-561 to -558 m, Y=-405 m, Z=9.65 m. The existing upper service route runs along X=-559.406 m, crossing the industrial deck at Z=16 m. Check its deck and guards as well as its support columns: relocating columns alone may leave an overhead obstruction once the bank collision is removed.
3. Recheck complete west/east motion and the closed walking route. Extend motion verification to trunnions, drive interfaces and barrier travel; the current sweep report covers original deck/rail components only.
4. Verify alternate pedestrian access while open, gate/bridge permission coordination, all-state public/service regressions, and full vessel approach/exit turns. Keep operating permissions disabled until those checks pass.
5. Add gear/brake details, structural load paths, centre locks and complete edge protection. Current drive geometry is an envelope, not a torque or structural-capacity result. Verify bank footings separately.

The saved prototype defaults to bridge CLOSED, with other gates OPEN and berths stowed as diagnostic poses. The current production pointer, R14 delivery and checked G03 native are unchanged. Existing JSON evidence was compressed in place to recover disk space; all finalized R14 artifact hashes were verified afterward.
